Raymond Anderson

U.S. Veteran

Raymond G. Anderson November 11, 1935-June 13, 2012

Raymond (Ray) Anderson left this earthly life to be with his Lord and Savior, June 13th, 2012. Ray was born in Ritzville, Washington to Dan and Alice Anderson, who preceded him in death. Beloved father, grandfather and brother, he leaves to cherish his memory: Barbara Anderson of Olympia, WA; his eight children, Susan Tornay of Olympia, WA, Patrick of Chico, CA, Kristy Anderson (Robert Glaze) of Bellevue, WA, Karen Anderson Vale of Lapel, IN, Dan (Maureen) of Everett, WA, Michael of Olympia, WA, Mary Gordon (David Gordon) of Seattle, WA, Barbara Anderson Leaf (Peter) of New Orleans, LA, along with thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ray was the oldest of five children: Donald, Larry, Marlene Huhtanen and Dale. He was a proud graduate of Gonzaga University and a Bulldog fan. Ray was a mechanical engineer for the State of Washington for thirty years. He was also one of the founders and active members of South Sounders Toastmasters Club for 25 years. The family would like to thank the staff of Saint Peter's Hospital, who were amazingly kind, caring and compassionate.

"Well done, my good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23

A "Celebration of Life" for Ray will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to The Olympia Food Bank.
