Lawrence passed away July 3, 2012 after a brief stay at RooLan Healthcare Center. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on February 6, 1925 to Virgil and Amy Weeks. The family moved to Washington shortly after and resided in the Summit Lake area, Highway 8 goes through the middle of the family property. Lawrence always loved that area and had fond memories of the Summit Lake School. He attended Olympia High School and graduated in 1943. He joined the Navy shortly after and was a proud WWII and Korean War veteran. He served aboard the USS Woodworth. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and brother Everett and the love of his life, his wife, Betty. He is survived by his son Larry (Judy) Tumwater; daughter Judy Mohoric (Stan) of Arizona; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and his sister Marge. Lawrence was an avid gun collector, hunter and loved music. He worked at the Olympia Brewing Company for 37 years and still enjoyed a "taste of the water." We would like to thank the staff at RooLan Healthcare Center for their care and compassion during the pas week. A celebration for Lawrence will be held July 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at 1841 Trosper Rd, Tumwater, WA.
